These are designed to vary the PCD (stud pattern) on an aftermarket alloy wheels. ie. Some cars are 4 x 98 PCD & most wheels are manufactured 4x100 PCD, therefore using the conical bolts or nuts (also known as "wobbly" bolts), you can then safely fit any wheel in 4 x100 PCD, giving you a greater choice of wheels .
